We’re proud to have completed a dry riser installation at 10–12 Bevis Marks, EC3A 7LH, working alongside our client, GS Construction Systems, on an exciting redevelopment project right in the heart of the City of London.
The transformation of 10–16 Bevis Marks is all about breathing new life into an existing building. The plans will convert an unlet office block into boutique serviced apartments, offering stylish accommodation for both business and leisure travellers. The design approach focuses on adaptive reuse — keeping the existing structure and facade, adding a new rooftop extension, and improving the building’s overall look while staying true to its heritage.
The ground floor will be completely reimagined as a vibrant cultural and retail hub, with gallery space, creative studios, and independent food and drink outlets, bringing new energy to the area. On top of that, the redevelopment follows a low-carbon, sustainable approach, future-proofing the building and delivering real social value.
To support this major redevelopment, we installed two dry riser systems with a total of 11 outlets, providing vital fire safety infrastructure across the building. Every part of the installation was carried out in line with BS9990:2015 standards, ensuring full compliance and long-term reliability.
Fire safety is critical in any multi-storey development, especially one that’s being adapted for a new purpose. Our work ensures that, should an emergency ever occur, firefighters have immediate access to water throughout the building.
This was a smooth, collaborative project from start to finish. The GS Construction Systems team made it easy to deliver everything on time and to the highest standard.
The Bevis Marks project isn’t just a refurbishment — it’s a complete reinvention. By retaining the existing structure, improving the architecture, and creating dynamic spaces for art, culture, and hospitality, this development will add real vibrancy to the City of London while reducing carbon impact.
