Dry Risers Direct is proud to announce the successful completion of our dry riser installation at Ford Lodge in Handforth, Greater Manchester. This high-quality retirement living development was delivered for our valued client, Churchill Living Homes, a leading UK housebuilder known for excellence in design, build, and customer care.

Ford Lodge is a purpose-built community offering spacious one and two-bedroom apartments exclusively for retirees. Located within walking distance of the town centre, residents enjoy easy access to shops, cafés, leisure facilities, peaceful gardens, and an Owner’s coffee lounge. With direct transport links to Manchester and beyond, alongside a busy events calendar, Ford Lodge combines comfort, community, and convenience.

As part of this development, Dry Risers Direct was commissioned to install 2 dry riser systems with a total of 6 outlets. These systems were installed to the strict requirements of BS9990:2015, ensuring full compliance and reliable long-term fire safety for the building’s residents.

Our scope of work included:

• Supplying and installing 2 complete dry riser systems

• Installing and testing 6 outlets across the site

• Ensuring compliance with BS9990:2015 standards

• Final inspection and certification for full operational readiness

With the final outlets and certification labels (“last stickers”) now in place, this project has been delivered to the highest standard, on time, and within specification.
